Oh Gio!

Giovanna Battaglia is my fashion "It" girl! Aside from being a successful former model and muse for Dolce & Gabbana, Gio is the fashion editor for L'Uomo Vogue, a freelance stylist and the girlfriend of Carine Roitfeld's son Vladmir. I spotted her in Paris running up the stairs to the Comme des Garcons show last March but she sprinted by me too quickly to snap a photo. So I am going to share some photos of her over the past year or so where I think she is just too chic for words.

Eat, Pray, Love, Hair...

LOVED the book, wanted to LOVE the movie but thought it was good, not great. If you are a Julia Roberts fan, you will find her very pretty and charming in this film. If you are not a fan, she will bug you with her pouty stares and outbursts of laughter with big teeth. FYI, Notting Hill and Pretty Woman are on my all time favorite movie list so you now you know the way I feel about her. I do think that I should have styled this movie since the area of flattering fashion could have been greatly improved. I would definitely recommend seeing it at The Westwood Crest Theatre since it will be the last movie shown there before my sister and brother-in-law hand their landmark theatre over to its new owner.

Oh, BTW, I am not quite sure but Julia's hair stylist stole all of my do's for this movie. One of my BFF's and regular yoga buddy Nancy kept nudging me throughout saying, "Look at her hair, it looks just like yours!"

Country Club?

I do not consider myself the "Country Club" type of a girl however my entire family lives for Tennis and Golf so we happen to frequent our neighborhood club for a little practice now and then. Every year this club has one "cool" evening for the "Young" members (under 50 - ha!). They light a bonfire in the middle of the golf course, serve cocktails and hors d'ouevres and then BBQ fresh Lobster and steak under a glorious tent. A good time was had by all...especially grateful for surviving the golf cart ride back to the parking lot considering the consumption of Margaritas!
